Announcing the Revolution Parkour Challenge System

We have had many students, who are motivated by obstacle events and leveling up, come to us asking for a way to to challenge them to become a better, stronger, and well-rounded traceur. This is our answer:

Dear amazing students,

Each season: Summer, Fall, Winter, Spring we will feature a challenge day where we cancel classes and open the gym for different challenges to overcome one at a time. The challenges will progressively get more difficult and will focus on things like: time, flow, power, precision, control, strength, grip and distance.  The challenges will be attempted 5 in a row–equaling 1 level, until a challenge becomes too difficult and is failed.  If you cannot complete all the challenges in 1 level you will be awarded the previous challenges arm band and during the next challenge season you will be able to bring that arm band in and start on the next set of 5 challenges. Most disciplines like ours have a way to gauge your progress and strength. We hope that these parcours challenges designed by the Revolution Parkour instructors will help you see how much you have progressed over the years and also reveal any weak points in your training. The idea isn’t to get through all the challenges in one day –you won’t be able to, but to pass as many as you can. This is an open invitation to traceurs anywhere that would like to test their training and themselves versus the obstacle. Each season will cost money for non-members as to deter those that only want to try and do not want to do. Members will be able to participate in the challenge for free.

On Saturday July 6th from 4-6pm we want to offer a few hours for free to introduce those traceurs, ages 13 and up, who are interested in the types of challenges that they can expect during the first RVPK Summer Challenges. The Summer Challenges will be on August 24th from 1pm to 5pm. As the event gets closer we will announce what hours the challenges of varying difficulty will be held. Everyone will be required to sign up for a 15 minute block of time and must arrive early to participate. This is not a competition but a way for you to test yourself and to help give you something to look forward to train for.

Train safe, train hard, sincerely,

The Revolution Parkour Staff
